How condition sets the price

Condition swings a used machine’s value more than age or brand, so the calculator places your item in the live market band by tier:

• Like-new — barely used, current model → top of the market.
• Excellent — light use, well maintained, no issues.
• Good — solid, minor cosmetic wear, runs fine → the typical price.
• Fair — older, works but worn, a part may be due soon.
• Parts / project — not working or heavily worn → bottom of the band.

Your opening offer comes in ~10% under fair to leave negotiating room; the walk-away is your ceiling — never pay above it. There’s always another listing.
